Stubborn baby... WARNING *pregnancy vent*

I had my 37 week appointment today and wouldn't you know as soon as my awesome doctor was going to strip my membranes to try to get things going, she realized baby was NOT head down. Somewhere between last week and this morning the little booger flipped to a transverse position. It isn't the end of the world I know, but if he doesn't turn by next week we will have to schedule a csection. I am feeling pretty discouraged since we are already so late in the game, but I know if he turned in the past week, it IS possible for him to flip back. So right now we are praying and doing everything we can to get him to turn back around. It wouldn't be so bad if the position he is in wasn't so painful for me. He is like resting on my right hip, and it is causing some pretty horrendous hip and back pain. I plan on going to see a chiropractor tomorrow if I can.

We'll keep you updated... and thanks for putting up with my silly vent. I know it is selfish and completely silly.

It's not a silly vent. I would be disappointed too. I didn't realize you were so close to your due date already. Wow! Where did the time go? I'm sure it probably didn't fly by for you. I hope the little one flips back around and you have an easy labor. Good luck!

It is not silly at all!!!! No one wants to have a csection!!!!!!!!! Its so much better if you can just deliver vaginally. Not that I know but from what I heard its terrible!!! I cant imagine being cut pen and trying to recover and taking care of a newborn and 3 other boys. NO WAY!!! I will pray that he flips and quick!!! I will also pray so hard for a seemless delivery and it to be as painless as possible!! I love you and you are in my prayers. You are not selfish. I love you and I am thinking of you;)

I'm so sorry! Dr. Delson, a chiropractor in the area, is the only one certified in the Webster method of getting a baby turned around. I would give her a call and get in to see her today - she is not only a miracle worker, but she is an incredible lady.

Good grief! Timmy was breech. And you're right, he's still got room to turn. Have you visited Spinning Babies? Good ideas on there. Also a visit to the chiro to adjust your pelvis (chiro won't touch baby or your tummy, don't worry) may help baby turn -- an adjustment called the Webster Technique. Keep me updated!
