A little late but Declan is 9 months old!

So Declan turned 9 months old 2 weeks ago and here is his list of 9 month stats and milestones.

Length : 28 inches (38%)
Weight : 17 lb 3 oz (12%)

Milestones:
-standing unassisted and getting into a standing position in the middle of the room with no help
- 5 teeth and two more that have broken through in the last 2 weeks.
- eating more solids and feeding himself like a champ.
- clapping
- peek-a-boo
-sitting in the cart without his carseat

About 10 days ago we got a zoo membership and Declan LOVED his first trip to the zoo.  He didn't sleep the entire time we were there and just looked at everything. :)

He is growing up sooooo fast. It is so bittersweet.  He is so amazing and it has been a different experience watching him grow.  I think knowing that he is the last baby has made me appreciate his growth a little more.  I have loved watching each of my boys grow into the little people that they are, but it is kind of cool and sad to watch Declan with the knowledge that he is the caboose.  I guess it may not make sense to anyone else, but I promise it doesn't make him more special than the others, just different in a way.

We are coming to the end of the school year and it is crazy to think of how far each of the boys have come in such a short time.

Adrian also started baseball a few weeks ago and is loving it.  He plays on the Cardinals and has been having so much fun.  Because of his choice to play, the twins have been excited to start learning to play too. They have a blast at practice and the games too because they get to play on the playground.  Declan loves the fresh air.

The twins are wrapping up their Pre-K year and have LOVED every second of this year.  Mrs. Sero and Mrs. DeZutter have made such a big impact on them and they just adore them both.  We have been lucky once again in the UPK lottery and Brennan was accepted and has been placed in Mrs. Sero's class for next year.  If the CPSE board releases Brennan from CP Rochester for next year he will go in the same slot the twins are in this year.  We shall see.

Brennan has made great strides with his speech and he loves school so much.  He is learning to speak more words and they are clearer.  He is still delayed compared to where the twins were and where other kids his age are, but I am so excited about the progress he has made and continues to make.

Andy is getting ready to get done with an outage and we are all going to be grateful when that is done.  It's weeks of very long days for him and for me and only one day off a week.  He is ready to get back to his regular job and hours. lol!

Anyway that is our spring update. :)

Thanksgiving... a little late

We had the wonderful opportunity to go to North Carolina for Thanksgiving. Auntie Karen and Uncle Neil kindly invited us and we were so excited. We had been looking forward to it for quite some time. Poor Auntie Karen was sick but still put together a fantastic Thanksgiving feast. She promised me that she would let Amy and I do some of the cooking, but I guess I should have known better. Everything was so yummy and we ate Thanksgiving dinner for 3 days afterward. Mmmmm.

Amy and Charlie came up to visit quite a bit, even though they were both extremely busy. We had a great time visiting with them. The day after Thanksgiving, the boys (Uncle Neil, Charlie, Andy and Blake ) went to a hockey game and us girls played board games and went to dinner at the yummiest Mexican restaurant. Auntie Karen drew an eyeliner mustache on Adrian and it was so adorable.

Here are some pics...
The boys leaving for the hockey game, aren't they cute?!

And here is Steven doing his yoga. lol! I swear he does this all on his own. ;)

I have a ton of pics from Adrian's birthday party too... I just haven't uploaded them. I think I am going to do a slideshow since there are so many. Sorry they are so late.
