Part 2 of the move... DONE

So part 2 of the move happened today, our shipment to CT. Not a big one, but still a pain. Thank goodness it is halfway over. Next move is long term storage then the express move to Guam (which the boys and I won't be here for.) We move into a hotel today so that Andy can paint and get things started around the house, and so that the boys and I will have stuff to do during the day. Life with no Playhouse Disney has been interesting, luckily Adrian has Granny Mary to save him and let him come over and play and watch tv and just be a 3 year old. It has been nice for mommy too since she has her hands full with the twins and trying to get stuff done.

I started getting all sentimental (a part of me that Andy just doesn't get lol) the other day. I pulled into the driveway and realized this is only my home for a little while longer. This not the first place we took Adrian home too, but this is the first home he has ever known. On the shipment to CT today went our bed and one of our dressers for Kate, it was weird to see that stuff go too since that is the only furniture Andy had when we first met. lol. But we are moving on to bigger and better things I guess. Definitely getting real that we are moving.

The twins are all out of sorts and so are Adrian and I. Andy seems to be doing ok, but he moved a lot growing up and is somewhat used to the chaos. We will eventually become more accustomed to the moving adventures as we continue through Andy's Navy career. One thing is for sure... we have many more adventures coming in the future, so we have to learn to take one day at a time.

Ok enough rambling as I have babies to change and stuff to pack/clean. Thanks for reading!

awesome friends and the big move

Andy and I are so blessed... we have amazing friends. The kind of friends who are willing to stop their own lives for a few days and help us out. The kind of friends that make life worth living. They know who they are, but we want them to know how much we love and appreciate them. Can't imagine not having them in our lives, even with all the trials in their own lives, they put things on hold for us. I can only hope and pray that we are the same kind of friends. Thanks guys!!!

So the big move is in progress. The packers are at my house as I write this. They are taking away part of my home, and it feels strange. There are 4 parts to this move... the household goods move which is today, the express move, the long term storage move, and then the stuff we are sending to CT. All of these individual moves are happening at different times. Kind of crazy. But I am anxious to have the packing and stuff done so that I know I have things on their way to Guam.

*Pregnancy Update*
So after my appointment last week, I decided to try everything in my power to get this kid to turn. Well he did. I don't know if it was any one thing that got him to turn or the combination of the crazy old wives tales and the power of prayer. I know that the prayers worked, I know that prayers are answered and even if he didn't turn I would have known that it was for a reason. But I am really happy that it worked. :)

I am a little embarrassed to post this since I did all the crazy things they tell you to do, but I figure it might help someone else get an idea of the crazy workings of my mind.

The past week I have:
-gone to the chiropractor to do the Webster Technique
-done inversions and pelvic tilts
-slept on my left side only
-bought and burned mugwort incense by my baby toes
-used heat and cold to try to coax him to turn
-played music low on my belly to get him to move
-prayed and prayed lots

Apparently I have driven Andy insane because it seemed like he wasn't going to flip, I nearly cried this morning when the doctor told me she thought he was head down and that I am 2-3 cm dilated. Then she pulled the ultrasound machine in to confirm and his head was where it is supposed to be. So thankful for all the thoughts and prayers!

The kids are doing great considering all the craziness. Things have been totally off the wall for them and they are all being huge troopers about it. Life is going to get interesting on Monday though, Andy is moving us out of the house so he can paint and redo the floors, etc. We are going to be staying at a hotel or on the Air Force base, not sure which yet. He is going to go to work and then straight to the house to work. He'll come and stay with us at night, then the same routine the next day. Ahhh the price we pay for buying a home right before the economy got bad and now trying to sell it in an even worse economy.

Ok my ramblings have been quite long today so I appreciate if anyone has made it this far. :) We will be losing internet on Friday so if you don't see anything from us for a little while that is why. Thanks for reading!
