28 week (28.4) appointment

I had my 28 week appointment yesterday and all is well.  BP was great at 120/67, no protein in my urine, baby boy's heart rate was 160ish and I have lost 6 lbs.  Now we start bi-weekly appointments and in just shy of 4 weeks weekly NSTs (to monitor baby's heart rate and check for contractions). It is the light at the end of the pregnancy tunnel you might say. lol!  I asked the doc yesterday if they normally induce moms with GD (gestational diabetes) at 39 weeks, she said that they take in all the factors and decide from there, but that with my history I will likely be one they would induce a week to a few days early. sigh... Lets hope baby boy decides his own birthday!

I have another growth scan scheduled for June 5 so it will be interesting to see how big he has gotten.  Here are his stats so far:

18w6d -10oz
20w6d -15oz
22w6d -1lb 3 oz
26w5d -2lb 3oz (59%)

As long as he is not getting huge I am doing my job with the GD... It has been a rollercoaster though as my body is just progressively getting more and more insulin resistant. In fact I plan to call the Perinatologist today to talk about insulin.  My sugars aren't terribly high for the most part, but they are higher than they should be too often for my comfort. sigh.

Now... I'm off to get the oldest off to school!  Thanks for reading!
