I went for a growth scan today for baby boy #5 because of the Gestational Diabetes and unexplained elevated AFP levels. He is perfect, as soon as she put the probe down we saw him trying to suck on his umbilical cord and smacking his lips together. Typical of one of our boys, LOL. He is estimated to weigh 2lb 3oz and doc said it was 59%. I just looked on the blog and at 27 weeks on the dot the twins were 2lb 6oz (Steven) and 2lb 4oz (Jameson). So he looks to be about right on with them. :) He is sitting in a breech position right now, but I know better than anyone that he has tons of time to flip and I'm hoping he does. I'd hate to have to break out the Mugwort and stuff to try to turn him on my own again. A trip to the chiropractor sounds like a great idea regardless though. :)
We talked about my sugar numbers and decided to add a dose of Glyburide in the morning before breakfast to help keep my numbers within range after breakfast. I have been taking a dose of Glyburide before dinner for a week tomorrow, but Dr. Grace said that he isn't terribly worried about us since I have been doing a great job with diet control. As the pregnancy progresses the hormones that cause GD increase so this is just to keep us within range and keep baby boy from having to work too hard. I'm pretty stoked because the Diabetes Educator they have me seeing told me to eat ice cream before bed to help keep my fasting numbers low... it works! LOL! I didn't think it would but it does.
Other than that we are just moving and grooving along and I'm getting more and more excited to meet this little man face to face. :)
