I don't think anyone reads our blog anymore, but that is ok. I will use this as more of a way to remember the everyday things.
So let's see... it has been WAY too long. Catching up on everything is just not possible, but we can give a general update.
We will start with me this time. I am registered to begin classes online starting on my birthday. I am choosing to start slowly through the Pathway program offered by BYU Idaho. My dad started there and just finished up classes for his degree. SO proud of him!
I still have no idea where I want to take it as far as my main goal, but I can imagine a couple of directions we could go with it. In any case that is the most exciting news for me. I'm still struggling with Fibromyalgia stuff and some headaches that are extremely bothersome. But I feel confident we can get those things smoothed out.
Andy is still plugging along in his training. I'm so proud of him! He is participating again this year in the chief select season here and they are keeping him on his toes. He loves every minute of it and it makes me happy to see. He is such a great provider and has managed to deal with the struggles with my health in stride. It certainly cannot be easy.
Adrian is 9 1/2 now and getting ready to start the 5th grade. I can hardly believe it. It was just yesterday he was my wonky headed giant newborn! He is in fencing pretty regularly now and really enjoys it. This week is Knights and Ninjas camp through the RFC and he is attending full day camp. They are doing archery, karate, fencing and all kinds of fun side projects. The other day I went to pick him up and they were all building catapults with popsicle sticks. It was a really neat project and he loved it.
Steven is 7 and still our quiet guy. He attended Knights and Ninjas camp last week half days. They didn't do the archery, but Steve LOVED the karate. His fencing instructor says that Steve has natural talent and can take it as far as he wants. That made Steve (and us) super happy. In September he and Jamie will start the 2nd grade. Steve is a great student and absolutely loves math. He must take after Andy. haha
Jameson is also 7 and still a ball of energy. He is doing fencing classes a little less frequently than Steven and Adrian, but that is because he is doing gymnastics in addition. He is totally smitten with it and has no fear (which is useful). This week he is attending Adventure Camp there full days. They are doing ninja warrior stuff, gymnastics, ropes courses, canoeing, water fun and on Friday they will take the kids to Seabreeze.
Brennan is 6 and loves school. We love his teachers from last year and were thrilled to find out his special ed teacher will be moving up with him to his 1st grade classroom to coteach with a gen ed teacher. This environment is so amazing for him and it keeps the kids with their peers and able to build relationships. Brennan talks about his friends so often and he just loves everyone. He is attending the extended school year (ESY) this summer and his teacher is amazing. His class is just the right size and the adult/student ratio is better than anyone could ask for. His speech is improving still and with the OT services he is getting his academics are really right on with his gen ed peers. I'm so proud of him and he is proud of himself.
And on to the caboose. Declan has been getting speech services through Early Intervention here since about Feb. 2015. He has improved, but he still qualified for services through our transition to CPSE. He is now classified as a preschooler with a disability (as Brennan was) and will start preschool in Sept. He will be picked up on a bus and he will go to school 5 half days a week. Brennan did really well with this service, but I don't know how well Declan will accept it at first. He is a very defensive sensory seeker and is totally attached to me. He really always has been, but I didn't realize how much or why until recently. At school, he will receive speech therapy and occupational therapy as well as be in the class with a special ed teacher. I'm excited and anxious about it. I know it is best for him, but he is so sad with big changes.
Ok that is all I can write tonight... if you read this, thank you. If not, well you tried! LOL!
